Beauty = Plastic Bag

I’m referring to the movie American Beauty and the scene where Ricky watched a plastic bag blowing in the wind. I started thinking about this thanks to this post.

What is beauty? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What I’m saying is something that’s beautiful to one person (ie. Paris Hilton) might be not so pretty to another person (ie. me).

American Beauty (the movie) is a great example of beauty. From my perspective the movie revolved around the idea of beauty and how it was different to each person. When Ricky is watching the plastic bag he sees a beauty that maybe the average Joe might have only seen trash.

I think finding some beauty everyday is a necessity. It could be the trees on your drive to work, you cat curled up sleeping, your child looking at you with love or maybe just some object on the ground that for some reason catches your eye.

You can find beauty everywhere, you just have to look.

    I haven’t seen that movie, yet. But, I agree with the concept here, 100%

    There is beauty *everywhere* and in *everyone*
